While walking past the Coach House one Saturday afternoon I noticed a sign outside that hinted that the bar was open to non-residents, so I gave it a go. I only went in for a quick pint as I‘d never been there before, but it felt so comfortable that I stayed for longer than intended! I enjoyed a couple of pints of local ale (from the York Brewery) while chatting to the delightful owner (Julie?). It was a small bar but it was nicely decorated and very comfortable indeed, and from what I could see of the rest of the ground floor similar comments would apply with regard to décor and comfort)
I will be back again for a drink, and although I didn’t get to see the rooms I’ll certainly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation!
