Eating out is usually quite tricky as my partner is dairy and gluten intolerant. We didn't phone ahead to ask if they had suitable alternative so we weren't expecting much either. Instead the waitress talked to the chef and returned with an edited menu, which showed which dishes were dairy and gluten free, and which ones could be modified to make them suitable. They even offered gluten and dairy free brownie and ice cream (which was really good, even for someone without dietary issues)
The meal came to around £80 for 3 courses for 2 people, including a cheaper bottle of wine. The food was tasty and felt wholesome, not too rich like other fine dining. Service was excellent as already explained. The place wasn't too busy but had a relaxed feel (Wednesday night).
My only criticism ( very minor) is that my lamb was slightly overcooked.
Well worth the money for a special occasion and definetely somewhere we'll go to again.
