Red Mullions is not a bad B&B. However, at ~100 GBP/night, it should be significantly better. First of all, we did not have warm water. When we mentioned it to the owner, we got the distinct feeling that he already knew but just couldn't be bothered to solve the issue - or maybe rather that he hadn't been able to solve it but decided to have someone stay in the room nevertheless. We got a story about how the house had needed to be rebuilt five years ago and that the plumming was complex, but that was about it. No partial refund, and actually not even a proper excuse.
Breakfast was served in a nice sunny room. The service was good and fast and the owner, who served the tea and coffee, was friendly. The food was pretty good as well, except for the croissants which were small, soft and without taste. All in all a regular fairly good English breakfast. The room itself was OK. Quiet but a bit too small to be really comfortable. There was basically just space for the beds. No space for an arm chair for example. The bathroom was also OK except for the fact that the cleaning could have been better. There were a few hairs from previous guests on the bathroom floor but otherwise it was clean.
