Myself and my partner stayed here on a sunday night, all i can say is fantastic, the rooms have recently been refurbished and are absolutly stunning, the food was exceptional and the staff couldnt do enough for us, we were so impressed that we have booked to get married and have reception there in november this month, would deffinatly recomend

Our daughter and of course son-in-law held their wedding service and reception at Whitley Hall on a June Friday. My wife prepared the flowers there on the previous day.
Everything we hoped for from the venue was provided in excess of our expectations on both days.
All levels of staff were friendly, efficient and always helpful. Nothing was too much trouble before, during and after the event (the General Handyman even found a guest's lost wedding ring on the reception room floor after first scouring the lawns from end to end)
Sadly I have no more daughters, but if I had I would encourage them to move to Sheffield and get married at Whitley Hall.

We really looked forward to having our daughters wedding at Whitely Hall. Overall we were disappointed. We felt that there attention to detail was lagging probally due to the fact ours was their third wedding in three days. The setting is perfect and the gardens are beautiful but we felt the staff were grumpy and not always willing to help. We paid a lot of money for this wedding and it should have been perfect.

Stayed here over 10 times in 2004.

Peacocks in the garden, Brilliant resturant, Medium sized very old hotel with all the right touches. 10 mins from Sheffield but you wouldnt know it.

Only downer is the small rooms and chintz decor, but dont let that put you off, thoroughly recommended for weekends or for a business traveller looking for somthing less tedious than always staying at the "marriot" and who wants real food !!
