Stayed Sunday and Monday nights, twin room, booked through an outside agency and paid 90GBP per night for room (with breakfast). I believe the usual rate was 135GBP per night.

Not a particuarly outstanding hotel in any way, but location was ideal - very central. Room was comfortable and clean, staff friendly, breakfast as I would expect, (continental and cooked english). Although don't be expecting freshly baked bread and local cheese - babybel and ryvita instead! The lift is highly entertaining - try it once just for the experience! Very generous with tea and coffee resources in room.

Nice old building and the whole flowery wallpaper and cute jane austen chair thing was quite apparent if you like that sort of thing.

We were however on the 3rd floor (? due to rate paid) which I believe had a lower ceiling. Not a problem when walking around, but likely to be a problem if over 6 foot trying to use the over bath shower!

We spent 2 nights at Pratts Hotel in Bath and the hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the city of Bath. It is just a short walk to the Roman Baths and the centre of the city. As the street it is located on is not a main road, no traffic noise from outside.
The outside is a little deceptive as it looks a little run down but once inside the charm and fittings take over and the hotel is like an old house. Our room was very spacious but the location was the second floor at the back of the hotel. We had no view from the room (looked out on the rear of other buildings) but we could open the window to get some air.
The breakfast room was very old world and buffet breakfast was more than adequate.
The room had tea / coffee facilities and full ensuite. Cleanliness was acceptable but could have been a little better.
If you have a car then no car park exists so you will need to park in the Pay and Display opposite the hotel. When we were ther it was 12 pounds a day with reduced cost on public holidays.
We had someone bang on our door one night in the middle of the night but we think it was some mistaking our room for someone else. When we reported it at reception the next morning it was clearly an isolated incident.
Reception were very propmt and it was easy to book in and book out

“Excellent Value Bath Hotel”

I have just got back from a two night stay at Pratt's Hotel, and I loved it, from the outside it does not look very grand, however once inside it has the feel of a faded grand house.

Check in was super quick and the staff lovely.

My room at the top of the hotel was small but well equipped with a nice bathroom, to pick holes it needed a lick a paint and the easy chair was a bit tatty. Being several old houses knocked together the trip to my room was by a very an ancient lift and along several narrow corridors, I found it quicker to walk up the stairs to be honest.

If you not very fit you may want to insure you have a room on the first on its three floors.

The real gem in store is the lovely dinning room very Jane Austin'ish I found the staff really attentive and the food lovely on both days.

The hotel is in an excellent location being just a short walk from both the train and coach stop, also Just a hop skip and a jump from Bath Abby and the Roman Baths.

The hotel is just a few minutes from the train station. Bath is quite compact, it worked out well that the hotel was a few minutes from all the key places. I had decided to propose to my girlfriend and the hotel made it that extra special. The service was very good, the room was clean and spacious. It is an older hotel, but this is part of its charm. The floors may creak a little and the wardrobe may not quite shut, but the hotel was just right for our three night stay. It is a small hotel and you get the personal service you would expect. Breakfast was good with a selection of different foods and a big full English.

I would be more than happy to stay again.

While I don't expect this hotel, which was formed from older, (perhaps the original Georgian-era, if not rebuilt after WWII) buildings, to be slick & shiny, it fell seriously short in terms of some basic standards.
Ceiling in bedroom & bathroom was peeling. Carpet was very dirty. Bed cover had stains. One the plus side, the furniture, both in public spaces & in rooms, were beautiful pieces of the pre-fiberboard era. Location is great. Like all English hotels, windows lack screens; so getting outside air, meant admitting flies & other bugs into the room.
