Very posh! This was by far the fanciest hotel we stayed at on our two week trip across Ireland and England. Amazing views of Bath, lovely garden, and very pretty room, with windows facing the garden and also the road. The view is well worth the short walk into town (the majority of which is done along a nice path with trees). Nice breakfasts, friendly staff--we very much enjoyed our stay.

“Fantastic Stress fee stay”

Paradise House Hotel

Perfect - stress free friendly beautifully kept Georgian Hotel small but immaculate 10 min walk from Bath. Fantastic views of Bath from gardens and our room. Four poster en suite jacuzzi bath, spotless, breakfast superb, soo much information to hand on the area. Staff could not have been any better, but it was tranquil and cosy as well as been efficient - Made our stay perfect.

My review is a bit late, as we stayed here in April 2008. I booked here on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews. There's not a lot that can be said over what's already been stated in other reviews here, so I thought I'd add a few personal thoughts.

We got a great deal on the rooms - 3 nights for the price of 2. We did have to move rooms on the last night (to a more expensive one) as the other one was already booked, but we simply left our bags in the room and the hotel took care of moving them for us.

Service was impeccable - incredibly polite and professional staff. breakfast was a real pleasure to wake up to. One tip is to resist the urge to go for the delicious fried breakfasts and try the incredible croissant and pain au chocolat option - I have never better, even in Paris.

One night we chose to eat in, and asked for some take-away options for delivery. We were handed a plethora of menus, and were then provided with crockery, cutlery, glasses and napkins; which I thought was a lovely touch.

There are a whole bunch of guides to Bath available in the lounge, and a wide selection up surprisingly current DVDs is also available for those nights in (which I useful, because Bath seems to shut down by about 6pm).

The walk back to the hotel involves a slightly shady underpass and a big hill, but as others have said the quality of the hotel more than makes up for this.

    • Disliked — Getting there up the hill.

“Girlie weekend”

Myself and two girlfriends have just returned from a two night stay at the hotel which was for our friends "hen" weekend. All we can say is wow! We were greeted with a tray of tea and biscuits and made to feel special as soon as we had checked in. The staff were extremely helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble even down to them chilling our wine and bringing it out to us on the terrace. Our room was very impressive and we particularly liked the contemporary fittings in the bathroom. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was fab and certainly set us up for the day. We had also booked the 4 hour spa package with them, which again was all ready and organised for us.
Thanks for making the hen weekend so fab for us!

Just spent a couple of days at the Paradise House Hotel,Bath.
We used Tripadvisor to search for recommendations and this was the top so we decided to book up for our first visit to Bath.
From the moment we arrived to the minute we checked out I can say that the staff were simply the best I have come across in my many years of travelling home and abroad.
It is only a short walk,20 minutes, into the centre, great going but a bit of a steep hill coming back ! Mind you,I am not the fittest but I did manage it a couple of times, even after a few beers at All Bar One.
The room we had was at the very top of the hotel, but not unmanageable, and the view across Bath was worth the extra few steps !
The rooms were comfortable and well decorated, the bathroom was large and a lovely power shower to soothe the muscles after a day walking around Bath was just what the doctor ordered.
The breakfast was again, excellent, with a chioce of Full English or continental, the quality was very good.
All in all a very pleasant visit to Bath was made even better by the service and quality of the hotel, one I would definately recommend to anyone who is looking for a good quality ,small but welcoming hotel
