We stayed at the Athone for a weekend in March whilst running in the Bath Half Marathon.

We were made very welcome throughout are stay by Wolfgang who is a gregarious host, the rooms were big, clean and lovely and the breakfasts delicious, especially the bircher muesili mmmmmmmmm.

All made for a very relaxing stay and we would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Bath.

Just gorgeous!
Stayed two nights in this beautiful high standard guest house with its spacy, comfortable and extremely clean rooms, the outstanding breakfasts, the wonderful garden...

Thanks for the warm hospitality, Wolfgang and Josy - we will surely come back!

The staff was great! We were there for a Jane Austen Festival and Wolfgang (the owner) was such a great help in making this holiday special for my mother's birthday.

I have stayed in several B&B's around the world and was pleasantly surprised by such great accomodations. The room was large with three women traveling together there was plenty of closet space and I agree with the other review that the shower was amazing.

I know that english breakfasts are larger than what I am used to but all the food was so fresh, with fresh fruit homemade muisli and yogurt everyday plus homemade walnut bread which I still need to ask Wolfgang for the recipe. I also needed to special dietary requirements and everything was provided at no trouble.

I will visit the city again and will make sure that I will stay there!! I can't say enough about how lovely the staff was it was like being in a second home. Thanks for making our holiday so special. Plus it is just a short walk to the city but if you have a car they have parking ( a huge plus in the city).

This was a wonderful place to stay, just about 15 mins walk to the center of Bath so getting fed on a night was easy. Rooms and showers are excellent, and the waffles for breakfast are to die for. Breakfast menu was very large, catered for all. Would recomend to anyone.

We stayed here as part of our honeymoon. On our arrival there was a bottle of champagne waiting for us.

Wolfgang and Josephine are helpful and friendly.

The breakfasts here are the best we've ever had at a guest house. Fantastic choice!

The rooms are lovely. Clean and comfortable with excellent showers.

We highly recommend a stay here.
