“Lovely guest house”

Tasburgh House

11 Jul 2008

Just back from a two night stay here and we had a lovely time. It's an easy 20 minute walk to Bath, either by road or along the canal towpath, and overlooks the meadows. The property is an old building but well maintained. The lady owner is lovely and made us feel very welcome. The continental breakfast was very nice and you had the option to buy dinner there which was handy. It is pricey but that seems to be the area!

All in all, a lovely stay!

“Outstanding hotel!”

Tasburgh House

29 Jun 2008

Tasburgh is a superb hotel and I only wish I could have stayed longer! Not only is Sue (the owner) a truly wonderful host who made every detail of my stay perfect, but Charlie (the parrot) gave me a wolf whistle as I left! I stayed in Bronte where the bed was possibly the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in and the view was stunning. The breakfast was delicious and of an extremely high quality. The conservatory and the gardens are absolutely beautiful - I cannot recommend the Tasburgh highly enough!

Stayed for three nights with my partner Ann. We loved every minute. Excellent food, excellent and friendly staff. Bath centre in easy walking distance.

Cleanliness excellent, high quality toiletries in room, and a welcome from Charlie the parrot at reception.

You've watched "Hotel Inspector", now just go book a stay here -- well worth it.

Bath: Tasburgh House Hotel, Warminster, Bath.
3rd June 2008

Have just returned home after a long weekend in Bath visiting my son who has lived there for a number of years now. (Previously unable to visit due to business demands).
Superb break with many interesting places to visit - Bath is a truly beautiful city and I am looking forward to my next visit later this year.
Stayed at the Tasburgh which is a realistic 20 minute walk into town but 30 minutes return trip (the hills)! Set in beautiful gardens which are currently being landscaped and offer superb patio areas to sit out (a real plus after shopping!)
Comfortable and clean the Tasburgh offers crisp clean linen and excellent food - at a price. Rates include a continental breakfast but there is an additional charge of £7.50 for full english breakfast. Whilst the latter was very tasty it was disappointing to incur the charge when we had already paid for the continental which of course we did not eat.
Bedrooms were on the small side and the showers a mere drizzle, with a permanent lack of hot water.
Good position for visitors wanting a quiet location for chilling out but not close enough to town for visitors wanting the attractions on their doorstep.

It grieves me to hear of a guest not having hot water but to read about it after their departure gives us no chance to put it right. . We have a plumber and an electrician on call 24 hours per day. There is someone on duty 24 hours per day. On arrival we hope to give our guests the feeling that nothing is too much trouble, yet if we are not informed of a problem how can we possibly correct it?

For the second time, I have used this hotel for a business stay. The accomoodation, the rooms, the ambience and facilites are just superb! Nothing is too much trouble for the owner Sue and her staff. The added bonus at this hotel is the car parking, the wireless internet (free) and the breakfasts!!!
A truly superb hotel run with enthusiasm and commitment by the owner.
This is the ONLY hotel that our Company ever uses in this area.
Thanks Sue - look forward to every stay at your hotel.
