We stayed at Villa Magdala for 1 night in 2 "best" rooms overlooking the park. The rooms are beautifully decorated and immaculate, not a speck of dust anywhere! Our room was lovely and light and overlooked the park. There is a little traffic noise from the road but we live in a very quiet area and so this may not bother some people. The staff here could not do enough to help you, however we were disappointed to miss out on the complimentary tea and cake as we couldn't find anyone at 3/4 O' Clock it was literally deserted. The breakfast was outstanding and we had a freshly cooked full english breakfast with fruit/juice/coffee. You will not go hungry here! I have only a couple of minor gripes - at night there are orange lights outside lighting up the building which shone through our bedroom blinds making our room bright orange and we would have appreciated them being turned off earlier. The other thing was the doorbell - which went off at 11.15pm and woke me up and again at 7.15am aaggghh too early!!! - a good nights sleep is essential when you go away! However, I would highly recommend Villa Magdala as you feel everyone who works here really cares about you and your needs, unlike larger "chain" type establishments. I would definitely stay here again as the location could not be better for the town.
