We stayed in the best possible accommodations we have ever found for our family of five. The Cranleigh is beautifully decorated, and incredibly clean. Our large room was on the second floor with one double and three single beds with room to spare. The bathroom was equally large and included both tub and stand-up shower. Breakfast was included for all of us, as well as a surprise tea and goody left in our room - all for 135 pounds per night. Only downside is the walk into town, but it's worth every step!

Stayed here for two nights, and have absolutely no complaints about the B&B - lovely room, comfortable bed, super breakfast and very friendly staff - everything you want from a B&B really! You should be
aware that it's a little out of the centre, but is walkable on a nice
day, albeit much easier if going downhill into Bath - we however travelled into town by taxi (there were 4 of us) for about £6 or £7.
This shouldn't reflect badly on Cranleigh though, and it's a great place to explore Bath and the surrounding area from - thoroughly recommended.

Cranleigh Guest House is an elegant Victorian B&B located near the city of Bath, England. You can walk from the B&B to the center of Bath or take a taxi or bus (bus stop is within easy walking distance of the B&B).

The B&B is located in a quiet residential area and restaurants can be found nearby within a somewhat easy walking distance. Although there are some pubs within 1/4 mile, the nicer pubs are probably a mile away and are not in the city of Bath but closer to the B&B.

The rooms are very nice, the owners are extremely helpful, and the Full English breakfast is one of the best. They also have a free parking area (car park) behind the B&B.

While staying at Cranleigh, you will find many sights in the city of Bath itself as well as day trips to view churches such as Wells, Salisbury and Winchester. Note that Stonehenge and Avebury are also somewhat close by car, or you can use a coach service that will take you to Stonehenge, Avebury, Castle Combe, and Lacock as part of a day trip.

There are plenty of restaurants in Bath as well as the major attractions such as the Roman Baths and many others which can be seen probably within one day. The river Avon runs through Bath and makes for beautiful photos. You should also cross the bridge to the other side of the river when looking for a restaurant. Note that Bath has many pubs in the city so there's no excuse for having a dry throat.

The Cranleigh Guest House is close enough to the city of Bath, minus the noise of course, and close enough to major highways to visit other areas near Bath. The Cranleigh Guest House makes an excellent home base for visiting the many sights in this area of England and also makes for an excellent stop if heading towards southern Wales.

I wholeheartedly agree with previous postings. This B&B is very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The hot tub is a great extra, situated in an enclosure in the garden with summer house and minibar. Breakfast was very nice and hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Only drawback being that it takes 30 mins to walk into the centre of Bath. This is an OK walk if you intend to stay out all day but could get a bit wearisome if you like to pop back to your B&B throughout the day. There is a park and ride stop within a 5-10 mins walk from the B&B costing £2.20 return which may be a good option or a cab costs approx. £6.
