Difficult to find anything to say that hasn't already been said.... This is a charming and stylish B&B in a great location run by very friendly and helpful hosts with a great attitude to the standard of customer care.
Everything about it exudes quality from the content and presentation of breakfast to the toiletries and comfort and cleanliness of the room.
Attention to detail, like asking us if we'd prefer fresh milk for our hospitality tray, and the way in which our request for secure parking was dealt with were superb - that sort of service hard to find these days! It seemed that nothing would be too much trouble.
Don't think we could have found anywhere better. This couple really know how to do it well.

From the moment we arrived (3 hours later than estimated), we were taken under the Willeys' wings and transported to peace, and comfort. Alan hauled our bags up two flights of stairs, came up again with hot tea, and up a third time to help us with the in-room safe. Meanwhile, Brenda sped to the dry cleaner with clothes pulled from our luggage, to negotiate a one-day turnaround on formal wear we needed for a wedding. This all within 20 minutes of our arrival! I booked in February for a 5-night visit in May and when I referred other wedding guests here a few weeks later, it was fully booked. Given its exclusivity (3 rooms), stylishness, hospitality, fantastic breakfasts and perfect location (next to the Assembly Rooms), I now understand its popularity. Our room was tastefully decorated in cream and taupe (no chintz!) and thoughtfully furnished with a chaise and two chairs, extra pillows and blanket, down comforter, electric kettle and makings for hot beverages, mineral water, fruit and chocolates, alarm clock, hairdryer, large ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower, heated towel rack, two robes, and complimentary toiletries. Two large windows made it bright and let in lots of fresh air. Mornings, we lounged at the kitchen table for 2 overlooking the sunny garden (where we chatted with hosts as they prepared substantial, delicious breakfasts to order) or joined fellow guests at a communal table in the candlelit dining room. Each day our room was thoroughly cleaned as if we were just arriving…linens changed, refreshments and toiletries replenished, carpet vacuumed, bathroom scrubbed and shining. The hosts are so charming you’ll feel you’re staying with friends. You can't go wrong here as there are only pleasant surprises.

“Wonderful Experience”

When we arrived at the Town House 6 hours later than expected, Brenda and Alan were waiting at the door to welcome us and make us as comfortable as possible. The room was wonderful with cute decorations, a beautiful view of the assembly rooms, and a large bathroom with robes, lots of towels and water bottles for convenience. The breakfast was delicious, offering a wide variety of different meals, my brother thought the french toast was exceptional!

Additionally, Brenda and Alan offered many suggestions for dinners, shopping, sights and travel plans. I have already recommended this place to my friends and family. Next time I come to Bath, I wouldn't think of staying somewhere else.

“Fantastic, stylish B&B”

The Town House

28 Jan 2008

Have just spent two nights at the lovely Townhouse B&B. Rooms are beautifully decorated and immaculate. We received a warm welcome from Brenda and Alan who were very helpful throughout our stay and I have to say the breakfast was superb! The Townhouse is ideally located, only a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. When I next vist Bath, I will definitely be booking to stay at the Townhouse again.

I've never written a review of anywhere I have stayed before but felt that I had to pass on our experience of this B&B!

This was our second visit. Now, secure in the knowledge that we have pre-booked our third visit we feel able to share our experience with you. Our welcome on arrival was helpful and friendly and set the scene for our stay. Our room was spacious and came with complimentary bathrobes, mineral water, and wine in addition to the more usual tea and coffee facility. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, plenty of choice and freshly cooked. Everthing about the Town House exudes quality, from the decor and furnishings, to minor details like the complimentary toiletries. Our hosts, Alan and Brenda, have achieved and maintained the highest of standards. A wonderful weekend.
