Before our planned trip to Bath, our daughters, and granddaughter, insisted that we must visit a very special ice-cream shop near Bath Abbey. They even showed us on Google Maps exactly where the shop was. We humoured them, and set off for our weekend away, thinking less about ice-cream, and more about the Roman Bath, the Abbey, and Pultney Bridge.
However, during our visit, having just stepped off one of the tour buses, we found ourselves right outside the said ice-cream shop. It wasn't really "ice-cream weather" but we decided to try some anyway. Wow! This really must be the best ice-cream that I have ever tasted, and didn't cost the earth either. The only difficulty was choosing from the wonderful range of flavours on offer. In the end I chose Biscotti, and my wife chose Banoffee. They were delightful, so if ever you are in Bath, sunshine or not, try and find time to visit The Real Italian Ice Cream shop.
