We were staying at the cottage next door to the restaurant and went there to celebrate my father-in law's 90th birthday. They were heavily booked but managed to fit us in at 12 noon, a little earlier than we had planned. However nothing was rushed and the the owner and her staff were very welcoming and attentive. We had a started and a main course each and finished with one portion of cheese and biscuits which was more than adequate. My wife and her father both had roasts (beef and lamb) which they told me were exce;llent and I had the vegetarian option (a lentil dish) which was beautifully presented and very tasty.
Even when I managed to spill my wine it was dealt with with quickly and easily. If it wasn't so far from home I know we would be regular customers.
Thanks to all who work there to make the place so lovely.
