stayed for one night when going to newmarket evening race meeting. The hotel was fairly easy to find but on a busy roundabout. Hotel basic but spotlessly clean, we arrived at 2.30pm on a friday and the room was ready. We were running short of time so ate at the little chef, food ok but service terrible. On saturday morning we had coffee in the room and ate breakfast elsewhere. All in all for £39 for the room we could not fault this hotel and would use it again when going to the races.

stayed here in july to attend newmarket races.
rooms are spacious but basic, tea & coffee in room if you run out just help yourself at reception, no breakfast included in price but you can buy a breakfast pack from reception £4.99 ( not worth it )
If you want somrthing to eat there is a little chef next door and a burger king, we did not use either, instead we walked into Mildenhall (20 mins) were there are pubs which serve good food at reasonable prices, also a nice chinese too.
If youe going to Newmarket races taxi fare is £25-30 one way, we got the bus from Mildenhall £1.80 which takes you to Newmarket high street where there is a free bus service to and from the racecourse, taxi back was £18.
All in all a nice place to stay, handy for Thetford and Bury St Edmonds ( a visit to the smallest pub is amust )

This is the second time we've stayed here. In appearance it looks like one of the older travelodges and inside confirms this. Older hotels in this chain can sometimes be a bit shabby but that wasn't the case here.

The rooms are the usual travelodge setup, but most notably for me the shower was very powerful, no standing under a dribble for half an hour here!

The hotel itself is just off a major roundabout on the A11 towards Norwich. There isn't much next to the hotel itself apart from a petrol station and a little chef. However we found that if you walk 5 minutes down the road there is a very nice pub / resaurant called 'The Olde Bull' which looks like an old coaching inn. It also has rooms available but can't usually beat the travelodge for price. But this place is the reason we came back to stay at this lodge again!

If I was visiting Norfolk or Suffolk again I would definitely choose to stay here again.
