Overpriced and disappointing. I had a small hot room at the rear with an overwhelming smell of airfreshener trying to overcome tobacco smoke. Bathroom the size of a cupboard - (really - the basin is so small you bang your head on the wall trying to rinse water off your face) and with a cracked wc pan and tiny quantity of shower gel in a sachet. Woken by an extractor fan from the kitchen in a metal duct immediately outside the window at 06.00 which made the whole room sound like the inside of an aeroplane. Place seems like a maze of tiny corridors. All this for £110 per night? (this was a discount - the rack rate is £125 plus £10 extra for breakfast!) I would have been unhappy at £60 per night. Try the Travelodge at half the price. Worst place I have stayed for some time.
Only redeeming feature is its proximity to the town centre.

Not impressed with this hotel. Very expensive (GBP120) for the quality of the room and service provided - afterall this is a so called three star hotel.
Bed extremely uncomfortable and room very hot. As my room was on the ground floor I reluctantly had to leave the window open to ensure some air circulation. Simple things let the room down - bathroom had damp patches, chewed pen left with photocopied guest services book, and the staff all were very young - the so called management were dressed too casually - shorts and t-shirts.
I asked reception to book me a taxi for the morning of my check out - and they rang me at 12.20am to tell me the taxi was confirmed. Thanks for waking me up guys!
Breakfast was good, lots of choice and location very central.
But, I would have been happier in a travelodge. That says it all, doesn't it.......

My worst hotel experience ever!!!
The staff were totally unwelcoming and didn't give a toss. The rooms on their website look fairly nice but in reality they were small and hot with cheap furnishings. The bathroom was equipped with 1 piece of shoddy soap, was shabby, not very clean and the smallest bathroom I've ever seen!
Also if you want any sleep at all go somewhere else. We were not informed when booking that the bar/club downstairs would belt out very load music until 2 am. Upon ringing the reception at 1:45 am to complain, I was told that "there was only another 15 minutes to go!". Bloody cheek! We then had to endure a further 30 minutes more listening to the drunks outside while they cleared the place out. How they have the cheek to advertise this place as a hotel I don't know.
The only fortunate thing was that we paid £80 instead of the £150 as advertised behind the reception desk which is totally overpriced.
We didn't dare risk the breaksfasts in the morning and left feeling shattered after very little sleep.
Book the Travelodge down the road instead!

This Hotel is near the town centre so it's a good base for exploring and only a short walk to pubs and restaurants. The staff were friendly and our room was clean and reasonably spacious. There was a good selection from the breakfast buffet . Overall the hotel was a good experience.
