We stayed at the Manor House at the beginning of August to attend a friends wedding nearby. On first impressions the hotel is very nice. The grounds are lovely and the hotel very picturesque.
Ouur room was a good size and reasonably comfortable though the radiator was permanently on in the bathroom, which is not good when the weather is 27 degrees plus. The decor is showing its age a bit and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the duck down pillows (only 3 for a double bed!) were even worse!
After a poor nights sleep we used the pool and steamroom which were first class! A nice way to start your day. Breakfast was OK and the staff friendly and efficient.
This is a three star hotel. It is a very nice place to stay though sadly not the most comfortable. This is a shame as it is let down by the small things that matter when you are away from home.
