We paid £29 for a double room for the night. £29 for a room anywhere near Guildford Town (5-10 min walk) that is very clean and functionaly is an absolute bargain. Had I paid the full rack rate of £73 I would be disappointed. So you get what you pay for, a good sized room with ensuite shower and no frills. Bed a bit soft but not too bad, good sized 20" TFT TV with about 10-15 channels, you can make a tea/coffe a single bar of soap and 3 pillows (I'm sure had we needed one more we could have asked). There is a bit of noise and the reception door really does bang on floor 1 (we were in room 102), had to leave £5 deposit to borrow hairdryer and no clock/alarm in room was a pain. Breakfast really not great for the money, Travel Inn breakfast for the same amount is much better, you have to lay table yourself, eggs powdery and sausage not nice, but beans/bacon/tomates OK and some croissants and toast so just OK. Assuming you get the room for less than £50 a night it's good value, perhaps go somewhere else for breakfast though.

Only gripes were no way of arranging a wake-up (take mobile and set alarm) and bed is too soft for my preferred support.

Other than that - it was fine

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel and got rates of £26 per night for a good sized family room. It was basic but very clean. Limited towels supplied but a quick visit to the reception and the friendly staff will supply all your needs. Like a previous reviewer we had to get extra bedding from reception for the pull out bed and make the bed up ourselves but come on, for £26, you can't be bad to that!

Good parking facilities and very well situated for our purposes, we will continue to use this hotel every time we visit our son as it leaves more money in our pockets to spend on the lovely shops in Guildford!

Myself and my partner stayed on a Sunday night mid Sept and would definately stay here again. The hotel has a car park on site but is also an easy 10 min walk to the train station. We had a double room on the 3rd floor which was a bit of a walk from the lift with a heavy bag but was very clean & quiet.

We also had the hotel breakfast which was a good selection of cooked food , toast & cereals but only because work were paying. At £7.50 this was a liitle expensive.
