We stayed here for one night as we travelled down to the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and location wise it was excellent but that was the best thing about it really. We got a late deal and paid £65 for a double room but I'm glad we didn't pay any more for it!
We did get a non-smoking room as requested and it was adequately clean and a good size. Unfortunately, like most of the other reviewers here we found the bed and bedding completely lacking. The bed was so hard we could not get comfortable and barely slept and the pillows were so thin that even finding an extra couple in the cupboard still didn't add up to a normal pillow. There wasn't a duvet, just an old looking bobbly blanket that wasn't even hidden by a bedspread to make it look more attractive!
The bathroom was small but clean enough, and my husband enjoyed a swim in the pool. Breakfast was reasonable. Well placed in the town to walk to the pubs/restaurants and on site free parking is good.
It could be a nice hotel but we felt it needed some money spending on the rooms to make them more comfortable and a few more finishing touches. As it stands we wouldn't stay there again.
