The Osbourne is a budget hotel(£40 night - single), and therefore I've written my review bearing this in mind.
The reception/bar & restaurant at the Osborne are nicely decorated, quite modern with leather sofas & a big plasma TV. The rooms are rathar floral to say the least & are in need of a redecoration, but for this sort of money all you can really expect is clean. The bed, sink, toilet etc were all clean, but could probably do with being replaced. The hotel is a fairly good location, only 5 mins from the Quayside.
I was at the hotel on a stag night, out in Newcastle. Also at the hotel were 20 young Irish ladies enjoying a birthday weekend, who joined us drinking in the bar until 5am. The only other occupants of the hotel was a middle aged couple. I'm sure they can't have been too pleased at their choice of hotel due to the noise. My impression was that the usual clientel are stag & hen nights.
Overall, not a bad little hotel, probably suited to lads/girlie nights out or young budget travellers.
