The Nature Centre is a great place for any animal lovers to visit - while a lot of the visitors were children in school groups or with families, there was a significant number of teens and adults there also who seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the young 'uns.
There is a wide variety of animals to be seen, whether you admire the cute, the cuddly, the sly predator, the scaly or the insectoid- I particularly liked seeing the otters! The birds there were also wonderful to see. It was difficult to see some of the animals because of the enclosures being as accurate representations of their natural habitats as possible but you can always return to the particular enclosure later in the day- we managed to see everything by doing that- and such consideration is to be praised.
Obviously, your day will be influenced by the weather but there are places to shelter, either admiring animals in the reptile, rodent and spider/millipede/etc houses, the cafe or the shop.
One last point is that the staff were friendly and helpful.
