I stayed recently for 2 nights with my wife and 3 year old son. We had a family room in the converted chapel which was ideal for us and well presented. The owners served an excellent breakfast in the kitchen, and were very friendly and offered useful tips on places to visit, specifically with children. Good location for seeing Chichester and the coast. Could not fault it.

What a great place.
From the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left it felt like we were welcome guests at a friends house, and not just B&B visitors. We booked both the cottage rooms which had a private entrance together and both had outside seating areas.

The rooms were great, everything you could possibly need, a kettle, selection off drinks, tea, coffee, chocolate, squash, cookies, hairdryer, adaptors, DVD player, DVD's, books, brochures, everything. The heating was easily controllable and very quick and efficient, comfortable bed, nice bathrooms, again with everything you need.
The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, great options and just outstanding quality and quantity. You need to choose the breakfast and breakfast time the evening before, didn't find this an issue, breakfast requests will be accomodated in the morning, but expect to wait for it. Very quiet at night.

Parking was ok, bit tight getting in and out onto what can be a reasonably busy road for a short while at peak times, but if you have an extra set of eyes to look and to close the gate, then it's no problem.

Sandra and Charlie were fantastic hosts, we were always laughing, and just had a thoroughly great time.

Would i stay here again? i'd love to, and probably will..

We spent three nights at the Old Forge Chapel in the rear Chapel suite. This looked out onto a large field and was light and airy. We chose this B&B as we wanted somewhere that accepted dogs. Bella our lab was made more than welcome, and the B&B have a helpful list of 'dog do's and don'ts' so there are no misunderstandings during the visit.

Sandra the owner was very helpful and efficient during the booking process and gave us clear directions, plus a lot of extra information that is normally only provided by hotels. She also booked our choice of restaurants for us once we had made a selection from her list (we really liked the Lamb at Pagham!). The chapel itself is stunning - high vaulted ceilings, large and comfortable beds (my husband is 6ft 4 and he was fine), with all extras to hand e.g. drinks, TV, hairdryer, mags. We really did feel as if our every whim had already been thought of and attended to. The property has been renovated extremely sympathetically with a lot of well thought through features and design elements to make it as environmentally friendly as possible. The breakfasts were delicious - with a choice of 4 options that changed on a daily basis! It was a great place to base ourselves, and Sandra and Charlie were the perfect hosts; welcoming, helpful, informative but left you to enjoy the peace and quiet otherwise. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they know the area so well that we really felt we got the most out of our trip by asking them for advice.

Only one small point that you may want to be aware of: the entrance to the chapel is through quite a tight gate onto a fast road - so not ideal if you are in a large car or on your own as visibility can be tricky. But we loved it and are definately planning our next visit.

We spent one night here in July and would definately come back for another visit.

The close proximity to the road was a concern but as the evening traffic dissipated it was quiet and peaceful. The room was comfortable and well appointed and breakfast a real treat....everything you could want.

Very helpful information on walks around the Chichester area. We took a picnic and had a delightful day walking on Kingly Vale.

We spent five nights at the Old Chapel Forge, staying there for Glorious Goodwood. This was our second stay here and this time there we were there as two couples occupying both of the luxury chapels which was excellent as we had two outdoor seating areas, which was great as we also had lots of sunshine for our stay!.It was a bit like having a cottage but with someone else making the breakfast! Breakfast by the way is huge and freshly cooked with local organic produce. There are different options each day, including lovely fresh fruit. you will not go hungry!
Our Chapel (Two) has super views over the country side and we all found our rooms to be a lovely haven of calm after the hustle and bustle of the racecourse. The rooms are bright, well furnished and have excellent wardrobe space!
The bathroom had a lovely selection of Culpepper toiletries and also suntan lotion, cleanser, mosturiser, hand cream etc. The refreshments tray contained Fair Trade products. We had a small patio area, which was delightful on the warmer evenings.
The commitment to providing "green tourism" is refreshing. Guests certainly do not suffer for it and it is a shame more places do not give it a go.
We found some nice places to eat and in particular would recommend Cassons, which is about a 10 minute drive away on the A27 at Tangmere. It was superb.
