“The best B&B by far!”

Old Chapel Forge

Having just read the review below, I am a little shocked at what was written.

We have just returned from Old Chapel Forge and could not fault it at all. Very nice room, better than a lot of hotels we have stayed in!

Very friendly owners who will go out of their way to help and advise you if you need anything.
Lovely comfy bed a Very pleasant place to stay, that is why it is rated #1 on Tripadvisor I am not surprised and will return soon!
The 'dreadful' pub at the end of the end of the road was actually really nice 12oz sizzler steak for £7.95? Pretty good value I think! Nice beer, and nice owners. The Lamb at Pagham was also recommended very popular and nice.

We traveled around South England for five days and spent one night at the Old Chapel Forge. I wish it had been more nights! The rooms were wonderful, had lots of atmosphere and it was nice to sit outside the chapel in the sun and have a cup of tea in the evening.
The owners were very nice, helpful with advice on what to do in the area, and very friendly. The breakfast was outstanding, the full breakfasts were freshly prepared in our presence, the fruit for the vegetarians was fresh, not canned, and after that we could choose from a wide variety of very nice jams. The bread was very good as well - not the standard half-burnt toast you get too often in B+Bs. There's one big table in the kitchen that hosts all the guests during breakfast (and yes, it is big enough for that), which added to the family-atmosphere of the place. It was nice to have a chat with the other guests and the owners during breakfast.
All in all, if I'll ever be in the area again, I know where I'll stay!

“Great find”

we stayed 5th & 6th May having found it on a Visit Chichester website. My enquiry was responded to within 24hrs and the room I had wanted was allocated. The directions we received and the local hostelery info was very well written, relevant & accurate.
we were so pleased when we arrived to find somewere that more than lived up to it's website. We are fed up with overpriced, grotty B&B's and hotels where they assume we will be pleased with the tatty facilities and an uninterupted view over the car park or dustbins!
It was really great,we did not want for anything. The lovely cosmetics made a change from the plastic sachets of goo that only open after having sustained £££s of dental damage.
We assume the trampoline is there to work off the huge breakfast that is included in the price. The room was super and airey and had a great view from our little patio.
I suppose we should not say these things about OCF as it may be booked when we want to stay again if it becomes too popular.

“One Can't Fault...”

Old Chapel Forge

Being something of a restless type I didn't realise I could enjoy a view so much, but as I lay on by bed in our fabulously appointed room at Old Chapel Forge gazing at the sun setting over the fields, I felt myself truly relax for the first time in ages. I think the lovely large cushions on the bed may have helped too!

We had a luxury room which had amazing high ceilings. It's set in lovely gardens and there is even a trampoline if you fancy a bounce! The fact that they have a gold award for green tourism can only be a bonus!

Lovely Culpepper products to use in the bathroom too, and we had a double ended bath (taps in the middle) which is always a nice touch.

One of the other great things about this place is that which ever room you stay in, there is a seperate guest entrance - so no tip toeing in after a fun night out!

Finished off with a delicious breakfast (cooked for him, amazing fruit platter for me) and very jolly chatting.

We had a great stay and even the geese were friendly, would definitely go again!

I booked to stay at Old Chapel Forge at the last minute. I'm so pleased I did. Set in a peaceful rural location just outside of Chichester, the accommodation is ideal and Charlie & Sandra were the most welcoming and accommodating hosts. We only stayed one night but by the time we checked out next day they felt like old friends. It's easy to why they have won a 'green tourism' award and I cannot recommend Old Chapel Ford highly enough. How they received an unfavourable review is beyond me and when I return to Chichester I will definitely stay at Old Chapel Forge.
