Simon Renwick has done a lovely job restoring cute little farm outbuildings to creat light, warm, comfortable and spacious accomodation, comprising two studios in the yard (love these) and two rooms in the house itself (not sampled), backed up by his great welcome, attentiveness and the best breakfast ever.
I have stayed dozens of times in or near Chichester recently and this is simply the best of its kind that I have found.

Just back from a lovely two night stay at Chilgrove B&B.

After a long, long drive around a car park called the M25 and down the A3 we reached a very very dark and quiet Chilgrove, tired and in need of a warm welcome.

Fortunate for ourselves we found such a welcome from Simon who runs this B&B who showed us to our room without delay and gave us a quick rundown of where we needed to go for the meal we had booked later that evening.

The room was lovely, spacious, warm and beautifully furnished with a glorious king sized bed. The walk in shower was a dream after the long drive and the underfloor heating an unexpected luxury. Breakfast is provided in the main house across the courtyard, cooked by Simon's fair hand and enjoyed in the company of other guests who were very friendly. The full english with toast and piping hot coffee was a fabulous start to the day. Overall we really enjoyed this rural idyl and would recommended it to anyone visiting Chichester or the races at Goodwood who are looking for great accomodation provided with a personal touch.

“Lovely place in the country”

Great place for a quiet few days in the country. Chilgrove is a small village not far from Chichester, and the B&B is down a very quiet road near the local 'manor house'. At this time of year there were pheasants everywhere, giving the place a very rural feel.
The rooms are excellent - originally farm buildings but converted to a very high standard (DVD player, huge bed, separate shower and bath, underfloor heating !). The owner was extremely friendly, and breakfast is served in the main house on a superb long antique table.

We have just returned from a short break at Chilgrove Farm and it was a most enjoyable stay in a scenic, peaceful, 'deep in the country' location. Simon Renwick is a very welcoming host and is professional, friendly, very helpful and has a lovely sense of humour. Our very spacious room was in one of the recently converted farm buildings and had some great designer touches. This included a wet-room style shower + full bathroom facils. with cosy underfloor heating. There was limestone style floor with Laura Ashley rugs in the bedroom/sitting area which also contained a sofa and flat screen tv. Breakfasts were taken in the dining room of the farmhouse and were delicious, cooked with care and with good quality ingredients. No sign of any cheap supermarket sausages here!! Even though Chilgrove is blissfully rural it is within easy reach of some excellent pubs/restaurants and only a few miles to Chichester and the coast. As the good local eating places are very popular it is advisable to book ahead. Chilgrove is close to West Dean College making it very convenient for the various events and also for the events at Goodwood. We would highly recommend this b&b for a rural stay.

I stayed here with my mother and the place is fantastic. The furnishings and design of the rooms and bathrooms are just immaculate and Simon's welcome is the icing on the cake. The B&B is in a rural location, peaceful but still close to all the local attractions and plenty of country pubs and walks nearby to enjoy. Please note the website for the B&B does not do it justice!!!
