This was a last minute booking as there had been a mix up with the travel agent. So we paid full price for hotel rooms which were clean and smart but nothing out of the ordinary. Location is good, just by the railway station (but far enough that you can't hear or see it).

Breakfast was OK ( a hot buffet).

They did try to charge me for a morning paper but that was minor and easily sorted out. Why they think I'd pay for a paper when there's loads of free ones to be had in the lobby, one can only guess!

OK - don't think I'd use again unless I could get a really great price.

We stayed here in December 2007 whilst celebrating two friends' Civil Partnership in Leeds. When we returned from the celebration we were not happy that we found evidence that one of the beds had not been changed (Evidence: a sock and crumpled sheets). Immediately the duty mangager changed the sheets. We wrote on returning home expressing our dissatisfaction. By return the Manager Mr Limosin wrote to apologise and offering, by way of recompense, another chance to stay there plus breakfast when we were next in Leeds.

Our return visit was marked by a special welcome gift in the room.

The staff of the Leeds Novotel were exemplary.

We have just spent a weekend in Leeds the Novotel is a lovely hotel.The staff were very pleasent.The room spacious and clean.The city is on the doorstep too.We will definetly stay there again.

Quite a lot of minor faults: the room kettle needed replacing, TV picture awful, at breakfast they ran out of bowls/glasses and needed guests to ask for more, slow restaurant service, bed hard, pillows flat. The car park fills up and I was lucky to get the one remaining space (it cannot be reserved). And like a lot of hotel rooms, not enough light (I needed to do a bit of work in the evenings).

But it is 2 minutes walk from the train station and very central.
