To start with, crossing the road from the car park to the hotel was an absolute nightmare, you're literally dicing with death its so busy! We were in a group of girls, staying in Leeds for a birthday night out. The hotel wasn't particularly busy but trying to get something to eat at tea time proved to be a nightmare. There didn't seem to be much of a choice in food, and they still managed to get our orders wrong!! They ran out of jacket potatoes so people had to make alternative choices. It took around 2 hours to get a group of around 14 fed!! One of the lifts then got stuck, a number of girls from our party were trapped for over an hour! The rooms were clean but very basic.
After a night out we returned to the hotel around 1am to enjoy drinks in the bar, only to find the bar closed at 2am!! We then asked if we could drink our own alcohol and were told we could. After getting our alcohol from our car we were then told we couldn't drink it downstairs in the bar but had to take it to our room. Wouldnt have been a problem but they would only allow 2 people into a room, not much use when you have a large party of girls!!!!
Breakfast the next morning was a complete disappointment. No traditional english breakfast. The usual cereal and toast, or sausages, a small circular omellette looking thing and what looked like half a spring roll with a mushed up breakfast concoction inside it!!! And all for the extortionate price of £6.10!! Needless to say we didnt pay for it!! Would not want to stay in this hotel again!
