This B&B is one of the best - a real home from home and excellent friendly and considerate service from Gill Rodwell the landlady. Bedrooms super clean and comfy, all facilities including biscuits with tea trays. Hair driers and good lighting with mirrors for make up and space to spread things. Comfy sitting chairs so not just collapsing on the bed.
The garden was beautiful and guests are encouraged to go and sit and enjoy, ironing available - even hand wash if you like.
Perfect fresh fruit salad for breakfast and good selection of cereals, toast, rolls and WI jams.
Ideal for walking to the city centre for sight seeing or evening meals with good restaurant recommendations. If I came again I would book several nights here as Salisbury is ideal to link to the rest of the South of England and surroundings for day trips and so easy to get back to.

This bed & breakfast was found at arrival through the Salisbury tourism office and better choice couldn’t be! Our stay in Salisbury started well with the tourist information office (very nice, happy to help front staff, really deserved award-winning service) then the +- 10 minutes walk from centre to Farthings… We had a very good impression of this BB and Mrs. Gill. We had the Guinea room, nicely decorated, well equipped with tv, tea make facilities, Salisbury and surroundings general information etc., with beautiful back garden view, everything cozy and clean. The light breakfast (continental breakfast) was fine (we were on a budget travel) well located, easy walk to city centre. Pity that we stayed only 1 night (reason Stonehenge) but we highly recommend this BB to people who visit this area.

Just spent two nights at this B & B in Salisbury. Everything very clean and in good order. We felt very welcome and able to ask for anything we needed.

Bed was clean, warm and comfy. En suite shower, loo and basin spotless and cleaned both days. Tea / coffee making facility in room and option of fruit teas or other beverages if required. Hairdrier and TV in room.

Breakfast arrangement was good. Note preferences on the form provided and leave for collection. Next morning, everything is there just as requested - I was even asked how long I would like my boiled egg done for!
Cooked breakfast an optional extra - beautifully cooked and presented and well worth paying for if you are a breakfast person. Otherwise, there was fruit juice, yoghurt, toast, marmalade, jam, marmite, cereals etc.

Location was good. Easy walking distance of the city (10 - 15 mins) and parking was not a problem when we stayed in May. A voucher system is in operation and we were provided with a voucher at no extra cost.

They have thought of everything at Farthings. Guests are invited to ask for plates and cutlery if they bring in takeaway suppers and can eat in the guest room.

I am very happy to recommend.

We had an brilliant stay at the Farthings B&B in Salisbury. The service was excellent, the location is ideal (easy 10 minutes walk to city centre, and attractions), and the rooms are perfect.

Real value for money.
