“A home from home”

Newton Farmhouse

We were made very welcome by our hosts, who were happy to wait up for us to arrive on the Friday night, provided us with good local knowledge on how best to get into Salisbury when it's busy and kept us well-fed on an excellent English breakfast. Further to this, when I discovered that a previous occupant had helped themself to the room's hairdryer, Lizzie insisted on lending me her own!

This was the first B&B my sister and I stayed at during our 10 day trip to the UK and Ireland. We were greeted with a warm welcome by the owners David and Lizzie. We were taken to our room - a twin room. It was set apart from the house and was very lovely. It was nice and tidy, nicely decorated, and the bathroom was nicely appointed. The grounds were beautiul as well. David and Lizzie provided us with some recommendations for lunch and dinner.: Lambs Inn - cute Pub, but the food wasn't all the great. But dinner was out of this world - The Fountain Inn. It's just across the road. Very quaint. Breakfast in the morning was really delicious and served in their beautiful atrium. I would definitely want to stay here again.

“A perfect few days away”

Newton Farmhouse

12 Oct 2007

Just would like to thank Lizzie, David and staff for a fantastic few days. Definitely worth going to if you are looking at getting away from the big city. Very easy to get to the surrounding towns and cities and major attractions in the area. Highly recommend you take Lizzie and David's advice about the pubs and restaurants in the area, as they were spot-on. The breakfast that was served was plentiful and full of flavour, the rooms were homely, spacious and most importantly had comfortable beds. Could have not asked for more. Thank you thank you

We had a fabulous time at Newton Farmhouse. David and Lizzie were great hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spotlessly clean and very welcoming and had more than enough room for us and our two children. The gardens and swimming pool were very well maintained and as for the breakfast........yummy! Cannot recommend it enough.

“Great Stay”

Newton Farmhouse

3 Sep 2007

We originally stayed with Lizzie & David in May 2007 and quickly decided to return in August 07. We stayed both times in the Garden Rooms which are lovely these overlook the pool and garden. Rooms are well equiped with TV/DVD players and tea making facilities. Breakfast is really lovely and with a good choice.

Lizzie, David and Staff are all welcoming and do all they can to make your stay with them enjoyable. Newton Farmhouse is a great base for walks in the New Forest or to go into Salisbury.
If we were not emigrating this year we would certainly be visiting again.
