We originally stayed at the farmhouse for one night in May 2007 when we came to collect a puppy from a breeder in Andover and we loved it so much that we decided to return in August for 5 nights.

Lizzie and her family and their staff are very welcoming and do everything that they can to make your stay as perfect as possible. The rooms are lovely and it is fabulous to be able to wander around the extensive gardens. Breakfast is excellent with a good choice of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and of course a cooked English breakfast too.

It is quite relaxing after a hectic day in the New Forrest to just watch their sheep and chickens mooching about in the field at the end of the garden. Our daughter Louise made great use of the swimming pool and trampoline.

We will certainly be visiting the farmhouse again.

I Stayed in the Newton Farmhouse for 3 days with my girlfriend, using it as a base to discover the New Forest, plus Bournemouth and Southampton. Despite the bad weather, we had a great time. The rooms are very nicely decorated, and the breakfast is superb (lots of fruits, cakes, croissants etc + big fry-up). The location is great for exploring, 10 minutes from Salisbury and 20 mins from Southampton. A nice garden and farm atmosphere as well ensure a relaxing atmosphere. Lizzie was only too pleased to help with advice for exploring the local areas, and provides a very useful guide to the area in every room.
Overall, a very nice place to stay and we will definitely be back.

just returned from my third visit to Newton Farmhouse. Lizzie and David are friendly and helpful. The farmhouse is beautiful as are the gardens (with trampoline and swimming pool!). We always stay in the Garden rooms which are spotless, spacious and very comfortable and we had breakfast outside under the apple tree!

Our little boy loved the chickens and sheep Lizzie and David keep in their field behind the garden.

I wouldn't hestitate to recommend this to anyone who wants to stay in a beautiful farmhouse in a beautiful part of the word.

We will return for a fourth time next year!-if not before!

“warm welcome”

Newton Farmhouse

23 Aug 2007

Warm welcome and family contact in a historic farmhouse. You can feel free to move in the garden. Nice, comfortable rooms, lovely furnished. Delicious breakfast with a large number of fresh fruits. Good traffic connection to Salisbury, Stonehenge, New Forest, Wilton. Owners give excellent recommendations about local inns and walks. Traffic is busy. We paid 140 per night for a three bed room.
