You can expect a warm and friendly welcome – and a glass of wine - from Quentin and Maggie when you arrive at Cools farm.
We wanted to visit Longleat and to see friends in the area and stayed for three nights.
The property is in a beautiful spot – a tip is to take advantage of directions on the website as sat nav does not take you close enough and we could not get a mobile phone signal to ring for directions.
The property is beautiful and we had a huge room with double aspect views and a private bathroom complete with a Jacuzzi bath just a step across the hall. The owners had thoughtfully provided fluffy bath robes as we had to leave our room to access the bathroom.
Breakfast was fresh and tasty with the most wonderful freshly laid eggs from the farms own chickens.
The problem I sometimes have with B&B is that I can feel like an intruder in someone’s home, this was simply not the case at Cools Farm and I wouldn’t hesitate in staying there again or recommending it to others.
I wanted to find a reason to rate it 4.5 as somehow it never feels right to give full marks. After we left we did consider that it would be helpful to place a sign outside so that guests knew they had arrived but that aside full marks are warranted and full marks are given – keep it up guys and thanks for a great stay.
