We arrived on the Friday evening to a warm welcome from Sue and information on local walks, including being given a map to borrow. We we shown to our room, which was lovely and spacious a great big bed, nicely decorated and a lovely big bathroom. On the saturday we enjoyed a really lovely breakfast and the menu will suit all appetites and preferences. The dining room is small and we had to wait for a table to be cleared, however this was not a problem as we just sat in the living area listening to classical music. We enjoyed a wonderful walk to Broadway Tower, on returning to the B&B we enjoyed a glass of wine which was very reasonably priced at just £2 a glass and sat in the gardens whilst chickens roamed freely. In the evening Gareth took us into Broadway where we went to The Swan. When we wanted collecting we called Gareth and he was there within minutes, you pay for this service, of course, but its quick and very easy. The next day we enjoyed another fantastic breakfast which really can not be faulted and we checked out. This is a lovely "away from it all" place in lovely rural countryside, brilliant hosts, its very informal and relaxing.

Everything about our stay at Lowerfield Farm was lovely! Sue and Gareth made our family feel really welcome and our room was spacious and comfortable. There was real attention to detail and nothing was too much trouble. The children loved helping to feed the chickens and collecting the eggs. We took the children's bikes and there was plenty of space for them to ride around. Breakfast was delicous!! Lots to see and do close by. Loved the Sunday walk to The Fleece Inn for our roast lunch. I would not hesitate to recommend Lowerfield Farm and will certainly be visiting again!

I have just enjoyed a four night stay at Lowerfield Farm along with my aging parents.
We had planned to stay for three nights, but found the farm so lovely that we didn't want to leave. Luckily we were able to extend our stay.
The personal touch from our hosts Sue and Gareth along with the clean, comfortable, relaxing accomodation helped make our stay perfect.
As a vegetarian I was so pleased to be offered a breakfast choice every bit as good as any meat eater. I did not feel as if I was missing out at all. We also enjoyed an evening meal at the farm which did not disappoint. As the only driver in our group, it was great for me to be able to share bottle of wine with our meal and a gin and tonic afterwards.
Lowefield Farm is a place we would love to visit again, an ideal base for exploring the beautiful countryside and villages of the Cotswolds.

The owners could not have been more helpful organising our stay at the last minute and then welcoming us very warmly. The house is charming and full of character and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The breakfast really was the best I have had in the UK so far!!

We cannot thank Sue & Gareth enough for looking after us so well this weekend. This was a surprise present for my 40th Birthday and when we arrived Sue had upgraded us to a four poster room, a nice touch. Full of Character with sloping floors and old beams with hot water that seems never to run out. How nice to be able to soak in a bath with lots of bubbles. Bubble bath provided! You wake up each day to the smell of home baked bread. Breakfast is fantastic although allow a little more time to enjoy this as all is cooked to order (Maybe a toaster in the dining room would take some pressure off Sue, she works so hard!)
Gareth dropped us off on the Saturday evening in Chipping Campden and duly collected us a few hours later. There is a nominal fee, but well worth it as there are a good choice of pubs and resaurants in this attractive market town. The first evening we ate at "The Bell Inn" ,just down the road in Willersey .This is located about a mile away from the B & B but If you plan to walk you would be well advised to take a torch in the evenings. Decent food, but overpriced in our opinion.
If you have any restless children desperate to burn off some energy, there is an outdoor play slide, swing and climbing frame in the garden. Sue & Gareth keep pigs, hens and at the moment, a solitary sheep. There is also a family dog, who likes a fuss. The garden is a great place to enjoy early evening drinks ( they have a license to serve alcohol and a good choice of both beers and wines. )
Best of luck to Gareth & Sue, who have only been here a short time. They deserve to do well as they that extra mile to help make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
