This family-run B&B is in a residential area of Abergavenny less than 10 mins walk from centre and train station. Don't be confused by the Google map on this page as it seems to be wrong. It is on a Charles Church development, probably only a few years old, so it does not appear on satnav or maps. Head for "Firs Road" and this will get you there.
Fabulous welcome by the affable landlady who was always willing to help us with questions about where to visit or go to eat and arranged taxis for us one night.
Breakfast was more like what you would get in a boutique hotel - all freshly cooked to order and you could taste the quality - it cost an extra £10 each but we thought was worth it as it set you up for a day's trekking in the Brecon Beacons which are just a few miles away. There are also a few great golf courses close by. We liked Rolls of Monmouth for example. Also, the Celtic Manor (the 2010 Ryder Cup course) is only 25 mins away...
Rooms (as title suggests) are very clean. We stumbled upon the maid one afternoon cleaning the room and you could tell that she was very very thorough.
All told, highly recommended. Cannot think of anything negative especially at this price.
