Glyn Isa is set just a few miles south of Conwy. Even though its close to the town, it is an extremely rural area. The area is full of flowering bushes, windy roads, and rabbits. From the road in front of the B&B (it is set back quite away), you can see the mountains in the distance.

The Glyn Isa only rents two rooms. Molly's Chamber, and the Captains Room. We originally booked Molly's Chamber. The room is a bit smaller, lacks a bay window and does not have a four poster bed. Its a lovely room, but upon arrival the owners let us have the larger Captains room with the four poster and the large bay window overlooking the grounds at no extra cost. We were delighted.

The hosts were obviously very accommodating and had numerous suggestions for food and entertainment, despite the rural locale.

It was immaculate and comfortable. We spent a fair amount of our evening looking out the large window at the rabbits, birds and generally beautiful scenery.

Down the road in either direction are two pubs. We tried the both, but found (and the owners agree) that the Groes Inn pub is better. Better food, atmosphere and drink. Although the other pub is a local haunt and is worth going to on a few day stay, the Groes Inn is much better.

Conwy is a few miles away as is Bodnant Gardens.

Glyn Isa is an excellent home base for tours of northern Wales. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at Glyn Isa for three nights with my partner since we wished to explore North Wales for the first time.
This part of the world is beautiful and Glyn Isa is set in a wonderful location, the scenery matches where we live in the North of Scotland, well almost !
The rooms are very comfortable and the views are good too, as one other reviewer said, you can see the sheep and lambs out of the window in the field, but they don't wake you up.
Elizabeth Wharton is made for the role of host, she cooks a fabulous breakfast and goes out of her way to help.
Elizabeth and her family really made us welcome and will allow us to look fondly on our visit to Conwy. Conwy is a nice town and the Castle Hotel does really tasty food (downside is the portions are massive) but the place to stay is definitely Glyn Isa.

We would recommend that others stay here if they plan to visit this unspoiled and forgotten about part of the country.

Our hostess Liz was gracious and friendly. The rooms were lovely. Breakfast was prompt, and very nicely done. A very pretty property, and nothing to complain about!

Stayed here in Feb 2007 in the four poster room (Captain's Room). Fab room, great views and pub down road for eating out. Hosts were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. There was fruit, and bottled water in the room which was lovely and warm . Lots to chose from at breakfast also. The hotel is peaceful and Conway isn't too far away. We have already booked for the summer.

We spent 3 lovely quiet night in the Welsh Countryside! During the day we explored, Betsy Coed, Drove to LLanberis and visited the Slate Mines museum (free!) Explored Conway and walked the "Castle Wall" (free!) Visited LLanundo and Holyhead. Liz makes the best pooched eggs in the world! Enjoyed two nights dining at the "Gros Inn". Enjoyed lovely meals and didn't break the bank. Enjoy your stay. Highlandsally & RaggyTartan from Brighton, ON.
