We stayed for 3 nights, the views were wonderful, you are in an elevated postion. Stayed in room 6 with the four poster bed. Do not think the price of £80 for this room was worth it. We did not get fresh towels everyday. My husband cut himself shaving on the the first night and he got blood on one of the towels. He put it on the floor so they would change it, but they did not, they just folded it up and put it back on the towel rail. If you are paying £80 a night, you should get exactly the same treatment every night. Every night you had to tell them if you wanted a cooked breakfast, which was fine, but you had to tick exactly what you wanted on the cooked breakfast on a form which they left for you in the foyer of the house. I think that was a bit penny pinching. This B & B is run by a husband and wife with small children. We never saw the husband at all during our visit. I think it would have been nice of him to come and say hello.

The location was great, although we had a 10 min walk over a field, there is a tarmac path and we were fortunate not to have had rain while we were there. Also you have to go over a suspension bridge, which brings you to the railway station. Then you have a walk over a football field to get to the main street of Betws y coed.

We would not go to this B & B again. There are others on the same road as this one, so you have quite a few to choose from.

Stayed in room 8 (I think?). A double on the second floor with a view of the valley. One of the best room views we had in UK. However, the afternoon sun warmed the room and we had a hard time opening the windows. Great full breakfast in a very nice dining area. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Nice to be a little ways out of town. Looked like it could get busy and noisy staying in town. A nice 10 minute walk into Betws-y-Coed which is a touristy, busy town on weekends.

“The four-poster room is worth it”

We stayed at Aberconwy House for two nights last weekend and it has to be one of the best B&B's I've ever stayed in.

We booked the four-poster room because it was the only one left, but it is so impressive that we'd definately book it again. The room is spacious, the bed is very comfortable indeed (ideal for recovering from that long walk) and the view is stunning. Shame about the lack of a bath, but the shower is a good one and the bathroom is large and light.

Stuart and Emma are welcoming and friendly: they were kind enough to provide a breakfast tray for an early start. The cooked breakfasts were lovely, and the sunny dining room and cosy sitting room are places you want to linger. The location is ideal for Betws too - a ten minute stroll gets you right into town.

We ate at the Bistro in Betws on Friday night - the food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating, even when we were running late. A great impression of Betws overall, will definately be back.

My Mom, visiting from Nova Scotia, Canada, and I decided to visit Snowdonia National Park. We chose Aberconwy House for 3 evenings and what a great choice we made.
The gracious hostess, Emma met with us on arrival and provided a pleasant start to our stay. We enjoyed a comfortable twin room(Rm 2) with an amazing view, which we enjoyed each morning and every evening before dinner.
The breakfast was fine and cafetiere's of coffee would be a welcomed addition.
The pleasant 10 min. walk across the field to town is convenient and torches are provided.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this guest house to others.

Could not praise more highly. Location is excellent with super views over the valley. We stayed in Room 5 on the second floor which we would recommend for the view alone. ....although everything else was excellent too and super clean !! Stuart and Emma are excellent hosts giving us good tips for the local eateries - we ate at both their recommended restaurants and the food was superb. All in all a very nice stay, highly recommended.
