I think the paint was still drying on this brand new venue when we attended a wedding 'do' here last year. Its been purpose built for weddings, conferences and special dining, and the location was breathtaking.
The event was held in the main room which had a small but well stocked bar, and a veranda all around the outside of the building giving views across the private tree-lined lake. The lake was alive with large and very energetic gold fish that put on a display of jumping the kiddies found thrilling.
The balcony was a perfect retreat as the night wore on and the wrinklies needed a bit of respite and fresh air away from the live band and the disco.
The food was lovely and the drink reasonably priced. It was a shame when the clock struck midnight and the bar closed, signalling it was time to leave this little country haven away from the city of Cardiff, but not too far away.
It was great to start the celebrations with drinks on the lawn in the July sunshine, as the photographer snapped away. The expertly prepared food and evening entertainment were, well, the icing on the wedding cake!
