Stayed here before and liked it in a minimalist/furry curtain/ Ikea sort of way, but the price had gone up and the quality down this time. Location is excellent for the CIA and shops ,but next to the railway can be distracting. Parking is very tricky and extremely limited but we were lucky to have one of the places at the hotel-otherwise you have to use the NCP car park over the busy dual carriageway and get a refund.
We requested a non smoking room but on arrival it was clear people had smoked in there . I complained and was offered another room. Fantastic views from big picture windows. The bedroom carpet was stained in one place and the bathroom smelt a bit unpleasant, but the beds were clean and comfy.
The buffet breakfast has plenty of juices cereals pastries and boiled eggs in a pleasantish room.
I resented having to write my permission for the hotel to take the full payment for the night from my credit card. It was also annoying on trying to cancel one of the two rooms I'd booked to find that after 12 noon no cancellcation was possible.
