Some 15 mins walk to the eastern end of the city centre & 25 mins to the Millennium Staduim, as a budget hotel the Premier Travel Inn has much to offer. Parking, clean, friendly staff, good bathroom with shower over bath, breakfast fine and the fixtures & fittings barring one exception were of a high standard.
The cost in August 2007 is £60 mid week & £80 weekend plus breakfast, which for weekend would normally be regarded as expensive for a budget chain hotel, but Cardiff is a capital city and has many international events and bed space is at a premium
Problem is the main bed was awful, we booked a "twin" room - which comprises 1 double bed (king size or nearly) & converted counch. The couch is very firm, whilst the double bed is of low quality & very soft
Put simply, unless Premier Travel Inn improve the quality of their beds - we are unlikely to continue to use them
