I have stayed here several times for business purposes. Rooms are large, clean and comfortable - and sound-proofed, despite being next to busy roads. There is free parking and quick wi-fi. Staff are pleasant. However, the buffet breakfast is very dull (worst croissants I have ever encountered) and the decor is rather tired - the corridors (I know you don't sleep there) are depressingly institutional. I equivocated between classifying this "average" or "very good" - "good" would be right

Dear Alasseur

We have some delightful news for you. Croissants are being freshly prepared in the Kitchen and the standards have improved dramatically. There were many positives in your review and a couple of negatives that we are very happy to take on board. Breakfast can be difficult to get perfect but we are improving all the time and the recent guest feedback is showing this fact. Your comments have been listened to and taken seriously. It is very important that we get simple things like pastries perfect and our chefs are experimenting in new ways to improve every part of what we offer, in both service and standard.

Kindest Regards

stayed in the Future Inn overnight when I went to see Ghost the Musical. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Two queen sized beds. Hairdryer and iron and ironing board in the rooms. Staff were very friendly. Had a buffet breakfast which was very good with plenty of choice. Very convenient for the bay and the Millenium centre. Got a taxi to the venue which was ordered at reception. The taxi turned up within ten minutes and only cost £3.80 which is almost cheaper than parking. Would definately recomend this hotel to family and friends.

We just got back from a two night stay and have to say we were very pleased for a hotel where we paid just about £55 per night including breakfast. We had two rooms - one for my husband and I and one for our adult daughters and 3 year old grandson. Everyone was very happy with the hotel, especially our grandson who loved the lifts which arrive very quickly!

The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and well-cared for. The two double beds in each room were very comfortable too.

Staff were generally helpful, but the restaurant staff were a little 'distant' though very helpful when I asked for more fruit as it had all gone and breakfast was finishing soon. A whole plate arrived! Breakfast was a good buffet with everything you really need. One morning breakfast was finishing and we were asked if we wanted any more food before they took it away, which we thought a nice touch.

The only criticism is the traffic noise, which surprised us. We were on the 5th floor, facing the main road and would've expected very efficient double glazing, but even with the window closed, you could still hear quite a lot of traffic sound - nothing too awful though.

All in all, a good hotel at a good price. Very pleased and would certainly return.

Dear Maccy40

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. It’s very important for us to know how our guests feel and where we are going right and wrong. I am very glad that you have had a positive experience during breakfast. This can be a service which is often full of challenges, a time where you succeed or fail, but I feel your experience was positive with hints of improvements here and there. We are very sad to hear that your were affected by the passing Traffic Noise. If the next time you stay you mention that you would prefer a very quiet room, you will be allocated a room on the other side of the hotel, which I can ensure you is much quieter. Again thank you for letting us have a glimpse into your experience. Also, so your Grandson remains in awe of our speedy lifts, I’ll try and make sure the staff use the stairs.

Kindest Regards

Have stayed here a number of times including this weekend. The rooms are clean and the beds very comfortable, there is a bar downstairs and breakfast has definitely improved since my last stay about 10 months ago. We also had 2 queen sized beds which was great for two ladies who were very tired after about 8 hours of shopping!

One of the real bonuses is that you can park your car for free and if you want to pop into the centre of Cardiff then all you need to do is jump on the park and ride bus just down the road which operates on Saturday and Sunday and takes you right into the centre of Cardiff for a return fee of £1.50!

Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere you can park your car safely and also access the centre easily.

Dear Karensixhats

Thanks for your kind words and for taking the time to write this review. First of all, I can say that we have passed your review to the various departments. Our new Head Chef is very happy that the progress he has been making on improving such services as Breakfast has been recognized by many satisfied customers of late. Our Housekeeping team was also very delighted with their hard work and attentive spirit has been positively noted. They do work hard to keep the Hotel spick and span. Also we would like to say thank you for leaving some good travel/commuting advice for future guests. Some people don’t know that the park and rides are so cheap and frequent so that sort of tip really helps future customers maximize their time with us. We hope you will come stay with us again and this time you might want to check out ‘Head over Heels’, a hat shop where maybe you could find your hat No.7.

Kindest Regards

Stayed in a suite so Son had his own room and was very good value at just over £84 for the night (excluding breakfast). Abit of a niggle in that despite asking for the bed to be made up prior to arrival (late arrival) it wasn't and had to call house keeping to sort, whats the point of having notes in advance if they are not read. Also the light fittings didn't seem to operate correctly. Overall though I liked my stay and room clean and tidy.

Room tip: Rooms have Air-con which is great

Thank you very much for taking the time to note down your thoughts in this review. Feedback is always appreciated, especially when there is room for improvement. We are really happy that you enjoyed you overall stay with us. We see that your stay didn’t go without a hitch and we’ll be looking at new procedures to make sure that the notes left on reservations are double and triple checked. Also I would like to add that if you do have any maintenance issues again, like problems with the light fittings then please let us know and we can sort it out ASAP to stop any problems reoccurring in the future for others. We hope that you will return in the near future, and improvement will be seen.
