I visited Newcastle for the weekend with my husband and children, it was indeed a beautiful place, even more so when a local had recommende that we go to "The Coffee House and Deli" for something to eat. I did not pay much attention to this advice as our general experience of eating out in Newcastle was less than mediocre. After a long walk along the beautiful beach we headed in the direction of the harbour, by this point i was ravinous and not up for disappointment. on entering the shop, we found it extremely warm and inviting, there was a childrens area, comfy sofa's and huge display of homemade scones, cakes and chocolate treats. my husband had a sandwich which was by far the best he'd had,( bacon, brie and relish.....delish)! i opted for a salad, it was lovely and i was overwhelmed by how healthy the menu was on a whole.....thay even sprinkle their salads with seeds. i cleaned my plate, the kids food came on wonderful spotty crockery, they loved it,,,,,,But the most wonderful thing of all was the delicious, huge choclatey BROWNIES. they were amazing!!!! i would visit Necastle again just for this experience. Great views, great food, great staff. thank you
