I attended the Ferryhill House Hotel for my graduation celebrations in mid-July. First off, I was disappointed with the lack of disabled parking bays for customers as one member of our party required use of it but the only one there was occupied. Nevertheless, we didn't let this bother our celebrations.
The service we received was really good. Considering the restaurant was really busy, the staff were attentive and the food came to our table in a timely manner. I had the Shanghai Noodles to start and it had the perfect balance of spice and heat. My main course of Italian Haddock wasn't so good. I'm not sure if it was because the restaurant was busy and that they were struggling in the kitchen but the dish lacked any taste despite me putting lots of salt on it (not where the taste is supposed to come from in my eyes!). The ratatouille with my pasta was very thin in substance and didn't add anything to the dish. Overall, the food was the only let-down of the evening.
I'm not going to let this one occasion prevent me from going again and trying something else from the menu.
