I don’t think the hotel governor here believes in websites, great chef but he should wake up, and quickly, updating his photographs and what he offers to his quests, great service and a family friendly atmosphere from brilliant staff.
High street, town centre small hotel in a lovely little town, rooms do vary here, it is a large pub / small hotel, they have some great family rooms some 3 bedroomed suites, tired in some areas but made up by great service and friendly staff. Evening meal was great, packed out for dinner, much much better than expected by looking at the place, asked what time we wanted breakfast, all you can eat and more. If b4 we stayed it we were told the stay would cost £135 (£75 plus meal and all wine & drinks) we would have stayed somewhere else, but we are so happy we didn’t. Would we stay again, if we were in town yes, but we would stay in Country house hotel first or other 2 recommendations in town first, The Townhouse or Burts Hotel, which belong to the same family. But we would be comparing them to the Kings Arms and maybe wishing we were back. Great for a nights stay, we will be back someday.
