Just got back from celebrating our 10th anniversary at The Gables. We stayed there when we got married. It's been expanded since then, and there are plans to expand it some more.

Our 'Bridal' room was good. The bedroom was very nice, comfortable and clean, though not huge. The bathroom was great. Plenty of room in there! Nice big jacuzzi bath, and a good powerful shower.

Breakfast was good. Choice of cereals, juices etc. Cooked breakfast was a little greasy, but filling.

Service was always good.

We went mid-week, so the hotel was quiet. There were a couple of wedding receptions going on, and everyone seemed happy with their meals etc.

We'll definitely be going back.

We stayed here from 26th May - 28th May and had a fabulous time. Our wedding was at the Mill Forge and we had our reception at the Gables. The rooms where lovely myself and my now husband stayed in a bridal suite with four poster bed, bottle of champagne, strawberries and chocolates on arrival (nice touch). We had 17 guests who also stayed at the Gables for the Friday and Saturday night and all really enjoyed it.
The reception meal was fantastic and service excellent. We booked our wedding through Gretna One Stop Weddings who arranged our stay at the gables and the rest of the wedding which was also fantastic, we would definatly recommend the Mill Forge, what a fantastic setting!!
The girls at one Stop Weddings organised everything so well and made you feel as though yours was the only wedding they had to do (obviously they do a lot in one day).
All in all we had the most perfect day and recommend the gables hotel to anyone.

just got married at the anvil hall and held our reception for 27 guests at the gables. we had an excellent day, all the staff were brilliant and everything went so smoothly. the food at our reception was excellent, all the staff were so organised and gave 100% service. the only negative point we found was that the bridal suite was very small and when you have you hairdresser and beautician in there as well as you and your bridesmaids there really isnt any room at all. we would highly recommend the gables to any couple wishing to get married in gretna or anyone wishing to just visit.

We got married at Gretna Hall and had our reception at the Gables. What a great time!!!. Hotel was very clean, rooms although not big, were adequate. The staff were helpful and attentive. The whole day went very smoothly thanks to all at the Gables. We both wish we could do it all again. Mike & Annette Butler
