Good points: Tony: Driver, a really genuine, sweet guy, knows his Scottish history inside out. Saw the sights, and gave us more than he needed, eg working 08.30-7pm on second day. To be honest, he is talented and should using this somewhere else!
Bad Points: His co-worker appeared inconsistent in personality. The first stop we made in Stirling he asked on 2 separate occasions who is the only English person on the trip, I know from the register there is one. This made me feel uncomfortable, I am Welsh, working in London, and felt obliged to admit this. The trainee told me later that she had never known an English person to go on this trip before. She wasn't being horrible, when stating this fact. I observed some sly looks from him occasionally, and our relationship deteriorated on the last day. My partner and I didn't go into the visitor centre in Colluden, when we went on the bus he had his feet on the dashboard and didn't look at us as we boarded. Granted he was young, and you do need to be professional at all times in a customer facing service.
There was an emphasis that we should party every evening, and the best way to see Scotland was drunk. I know this trip was aimed at backpackers, and by the nature is young, however, not everyone likes to get drunk, no matter what their age.
The group, overall, was unfriendly, I felt, and as there was a Australian who appeared to take a dislike to me. I wouldn't mind, his girlfriend told me they all, 4 of them had a free trip, and her boyfriend was deliberately being rude, for example, not passing back the evaluation sheets at the end, and totally blanking me!
Never, ever again, Tony you are too good for this company!
