Booked the hotel via the hotels website easily without incident, and got a great rate of 69GBP. Location on the map lookd good.

Greeting on arrival was excellent, very efficient and helpful, gave us a map of the lcoation, asked if we needed any directions etc.

Rooms are basic but clean and fresh. All you need and exactly what TL tells you you are going to get. You really cant' complain for the price/location.

Location is great with lively bars and restaurants and of course the royla mile and the castle a few mins walk away.

Hotel has a small car park at the rear of the hotel which was obvioulsy not designed as a hotel car park but they make good use of it and are very accomodating in a city which is a nightmare for parking.

Very friendly and helpful again on checkout.

We only had one night here and paid £80 for the night. For some reason we were given a disabled room on the ground floor but at least the room and bathroom were big. The shower had really poor output and was almost a dribble. The soap dispensers in both the shower and basin were also very difficult to use for the average person, let alone a disabled or elderly person trying to squeeze them. Breakfast was the basic breakfast but enough. Parking was validated but it was a long haul up the hill and round the corner. We probably wouldn't stay there again and now prefer B&B's who have tastier food and friendier staff.

I stayed at the Travelodge in September for a total of 6 nights. The room was a decent size*, and the staff was nice. There were however numerous problems. For some reason I got kicked out of my non-smoking room and was moved to a much smaller smoking room on the 4th floor. The smoking room wasn't that bad, but there was a definite stench that pervaded it. The place also had some housecleaning issues. There was no shampoo or body soap for the showers which was unfortunate. Bottom line: it would have been decent for after a fun night to just crash, but it is not a great place to stay. also- dont do the breakfast!

We stayed at this Travelodge for my hen weekend..It was very nice, clean and tidy but basic ie no hairdryer etc but just what I wanted from a Travelodge. The one thing to point out is that the shower curtains are VERy short so you end up soaking the room, all 8 of us in seperate rooms agreed that when we came out of the shower the floor was soaking due to short curtain so beware!
But other than that a clean roon plus breakfast for £7.50 was very good, a buffet offering orange juice, cerial, toast, fully cooked breakfast.
