First off a big Thank You to Lynne Burnaston who sorted out 14th and 16th floor rooms for us with stunning views along the Clyde. This is the primary feature of this hotel.

The rooms are very nicely presented and very comfortable both for work and just relaxing.

We arrived early (12midday), but were given rooms straight away. Showing up early is one thing, but I didn't feel at all sorry for the moaning couple who tried to check in at 8 the next morning!! Reception dealt with them very well.

We had lunch there, but I was very disappointed with it. My expectations should have been lower, but if I really wanted an over-grilled pre-frozen lamb burger served with a piece of naan out of a 99p packet of 2, some cold fries and a token salad, I would have gone to a greasy spoon and paid £2 for it rather than the £7.95 I did... Moral is, if you want to eat, go elsewhere. Like the "Arches"...much nicer and cheaper!

Otherwise, £85 B&B seemed pretty good value. I didn't have breakfast, but the queue was 8/9 people long as there quite obviously wasn't enough staff on to serve and seat at the same tim.

Thankyou for your feedback. I was very pleased to learn that Lynn was able to assist you with arranging rooms on the higher floors so as you could enjoy the magnificent views.

With regard to your comment regarding the lamb burger on our lounge menu, please be assured that they are not bought in or frozen but made in house by our own chefs. We will however take your views into consideration during our next menu review which is scheduled to take place shortly.

Also I am sorry that there was a small queue of 8-9 people at breakfast. This sometimes happens particularly at peak times when the hotel is very busy.

I hope you will not be deterred from visiting again in the not too distant future.

Stayed here after works christmas night in one of the suites downstairs so got room as special rate which was v.good. 1st off were given room with 2 singles when we originally asked for double one quick call to reception & we got moved rooms. Room inside was very nice remember being in hotel a longtime ago & was impressed with improvements. Complimentary bathrobes were nice. Liked how at end of evening were 2 hotel staff man-ing the lifts so that only people with a room key were allowed to enter, somehow a guy still managed to end up and was outside the room opposite ours kicking the door and shouting til 3am, i feel asleep though due to the comfy beds was person i was sharing room with who had to suffer the noise...overall ok but prefer malmaison glasgow a bit more pricey but better service i feel.

Visited Glasgow for a break between Xmas and New Year.
Had stayed here several times previously but hotel now excellent since refurbishment completed.
Husband had booked a standard room but we were upgraded to Executive - great room on 15th floor - nice size and so comfortable.
Unfortunately we had arranged to go out so we were not able to use the Executive lounge but it looked fantastic - must make time to use it next time.....
Breakfast was most enjoyable - good selection and service.

Best hotel I've stayed at in Glasgow.

“fantastic refurb but please sort out lifts”

Crowne Plaza Glasgow

After a minor op a few weeks before, I had a fantastic 2 nights at this hotel for my birthday. We were in a refurbished room but not a club room and it was lovely. The Moat House had become tired but I would be delighted to stay here again. I used the beauty salon and the service was great. We had carvery one night and a bar meal the next, the food is excellent. Only one slight problem, the lifts. I do have a phobia but after the Scissor Sisters concert, the rudeness of other hotel guests caused me to have to walk up to floor seven via the fire exit stairs, not good after my keyhole gallbladder removal. Could the hotel perhaps have a member of staff supervising the lifts for idiots at the ground and mezzanine floor levels after a concert? The staff on charge that night didn't seem to care. The lifts are dodgy even with only 2 passengers but I shudder to think over crowded. The panaoramic lift was already out of order.

Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay despite the antics of some of our other guests. We always endeavour to ensure that guests are not inconvenienced by the over exuberance of others, there are ocassions such as this that we don't always get it right.
I'm very sorry and hope that you will come to stay with us again soon.

We ended up in a club room on the 15th floor and it was absolutely stunning, we are used to standard rooms so this was just amazing to us! The rooms have just been decorated so are modern and this one was very spacious. The 15th floor has a complimentary lounge so between 6pm and 10pm you just go in and help yourself to drinks from the fridge and you can get a continental breakfast there too.

Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. From the town it's only 5 minutes in a taxi and will cost between £3-5 so it's in a good location.
