“massive value at albion”

Albion Hotel

I stayed at the albion hotel while going to see a gig with my mates at the SECC (a £5 taxi away), it was perfect for the occasion, we paid £60 for the room, which was massive, clean, comfortable and has everything we needed.

Although i wouldnt reccomend this hotel as somehwere to take your girlfriend for a romantic weekend, for a stopover for business or a weekend with your mates, its perfect. Its also about 50m to the kelvingrove underground station.

The lady at reception is really firenldy and helpful, you cant eat at the hotel but theres a nice pub up the road from the church where you can get a decent bite to eat.

Overall, well worth the money we paid.

My two children and I really enjoyed our stay in the Albion Hotel.
The close proximity of the Kelvinbridge Underground meant that it was very easy to move around the city as well as being able to return to a nice quiet location with views over Kelvin bridge( no-through road for cars helps to reduce noise also). Hotel in West end so plenty of nice places to eat and drink nearby and the botanic gardens just a short walk up the road.
The hotel room was very clean indeed and the fridge in room was also very helpful when travelling with young family. Would recommend to others and stay there again.

“Great time”

Albion Hotel

We ended up at the Albion by pure fluke as the hotel we booked had double booked us. We were not disappaionted with the Albion which made all the inconvience worth it. A great hotel with a great location. Staff were only happy to help, arranging us a nice restaurant for our anniversary. Rooms were large and very clean. A very good standard 3 star hotel. Couldnt ask for more.

“Fine stay at The Albion”

Albion Hotel

30 May 2007

Checked in for a two night stay on 27th May. Room No 8 is one of the (two) attic rooms. It was nicely enough appointed but too small for two tallish people especially as one had to carefull not rise out of the twin bed under the eave side as you might get a nasty bump. The ceiling window allowed daylight but did make you feel somewhat trapped. However Helen the receptionist (who also has a hand in cooking your full Scottish breakfast in the morning) graciously agreed to let us have room 4 the next day which had three twin beds in it and a large front facing window.

Each room has pretty much everything you need to enhance your stay including a trouser press, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, fan for the summer, kettle with tea/coffe sachets, litle mini fridge so that you can keep whatever you have to keep cold.well....er...cold!!

The bathroom is equally well appointed and there is a little sign to help guide you to now and again ( didn't happen to me at all)expect a water pressure drop but with clear instructions on how to take a second to remedy this by simply lowering the showerpray to the ground and raising it again.

Breakfast is included in your stay and you can help yourself to cereals, fruit juice and coffee as you wait to have your hot breakfast order taken (just ask for variations of the main breakfast if that's all you want e.g poached/scrambled egg).

I think it's a lovely place to stay where you're left with your own key to come and go as you please. More like staying in a big house than a hotel.

Would easily recommend this well located hotel.

“Loved the place”

Albion Hotel

20 Nov 2006

On arrival we wre given room 12 room (first floor). Would definately advise asking for this room as its very spacious and has a double and single bed. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was amazing and there was plenty of it. Great location right next to the underground station and only a short walk to city centre.
