“The best hotel ive ever been to !”

Lomond hotel on Buckingham terrace in Great Western Road in the Westend is a true gem of the city which makes you feel very homely indeed!
The rooms in lomond hotel are indeed very comfortable not to mention the beds. The particular room which i stayed in was room 4. This was a very beautifull room indeed as i enjoyed my stay very much. The shower was my favourite as you could listen to music while in the shower which was great! I didnt feel like leaving the room as the beds were soo comfortable that i didnt know when i fell asleep as the atmosphere is quiet and there are no disturbances. I have to say i thought the breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful at serving it. There were a variety of different things such as fruit, cereals, and juices which is very healthy. I believe that the owner has trained the staff very well as they are profecionals. I reccomend this hotel to anyone that wants a great stay with no extra charge as its very affordable and beter than any other hotel that i have ever been to.

“What A Wonderful Place”

We stayed for 4 nights in a double room which was very well presented and maintained. The first thing we noticed was the cleanliness compared to many other places.
The bathroom was very clean..clean.. clean..clean..

The bed was really comfortable "which is RARE" , we just couldn't believe that finally we had found a place with a comfortable bed which means No BACK PAIN the next morning.

We enjoyed the breakfast every morning and there were so many choices on the breakfast menu too.

The lomond hotel staff were really friendly and helpful and did everything to make us feel at home.

And above all this is the LOCATION, everything you need only a few minutes away from you, from grocery shops to cute little boutiques , sooooo many antique shops, the best pubs and bars in the city, restaurants ,take aways, bank, library, university, buses, underground stations...............

We will never forget our stay and will definitely go back ... ;)

the hotel located on buckingham terrace, off the great western road, and very good location, large, spacious rooms, very comfy beds, and beautifully and simply decorated rooms, i enjoyed my whole stay in this hotel, the breakfast menue have lots of choice to select and also there was fresh fruits and difrent varieties of cerials and cuppacino, hot chocolate and tea/coffee available. full breakfast make me whole day full, loved it.

the hotel is very close to the byres road and near the kelvin bridge and hillhead undergound station.
Very easy reachable from the town.
True value for money
I must come back here again and again!

“Disgusted!”

Lomond Hotel

7 May 2008

the worst place ever!
We arrived and were greeted by a young girl, with very poor english skills. We were about to pay for the room when i showed my student ID card to get my entitled student discount, only i was told that i coulndt use it cause i hadnt told them about student discount over the phone when i was booking, even though there is nothing on the website about this.

We entered our room and instantly smelled stale, damp air and the beds felt damp. The photos allow you too see the rest of the horrors that followed. We left the hotel that evening to go to a gig. We returned and nothing had been done about the broken, leaking radiator.
The brekfast the next day wasn't any better, the sausages tasted microwaved and the scrambled egg was hard on top. We packed our bags ASAp and left the hotel. Handing the room keys to the only member of staff around, the girl who greted us on our arrival. We received no appology about the radiator or anything. definately MISS OUT THIS HOTEL!!!!

“the manky lomond hotel (galsgow)”

Lomond Hotel

7 May 2008

Me and my friends got to the hotel on the 2nd of May around 5pm. When payin for the hotel we asked about student discount and the woman taking our money decided she couldnt speak english and couldnt understand what we were on about and then phoned her boss and we were then told we couldnt get it because we never asked for it on the phone when boooking when we did, in the end we never got it!!!!

We got in the room (room 4) and it was dark and dull, the beds were damp and the room smelt musty and it was freezing, Attempted to look out the window and spotted the black mould on the curtains and the black mould around the window frame.

The radiators in the room were broken so we got a heater instead.

The nicest place in the room was the bathroom.

The breakfast was awful the woman taking our order and serving us was a miserable so and so and couldnt cook to save herself.

I wouldnt advise anyone NOT to stay in theis hotel because its a total crap hole, and does not deserve 2 stars, it should be shut down
