This is a review of the Cafe Andaluz in the West End of Glasgow, just off Byres Road.
It has a very pleasant atmosphere, and for a basement is surprisingly bright and airy.
The Tapas is variable but tends to be on the small portion side (yes I know tapas is small, but some of these are ridiculous).
The overall flavour here is bland, which they seem to have perfected.
However if you are disappointed by the food then be prepared to have a heart attack over the prices.
Lunch for 3, with no alcohol, no coffee, only water came to nearly £60.
We could have had a proper meal for that.
There are many places locally which can serve much better food at much lower prices so I would hesitate to recommend this place to anyone.
There are more tapas places springing up too which have a more authentic taste and more realistic prices.
