My husband "discovered" this place after he did a little research while on our trip in Scotland...after enjoying Culloden Battlefield, we had just a little trouble finding this very nearby (travel a mile to the southeast from the battlefield) group of 3 ring circles, but were glad we did. After this, we searched for stone circles and cairns as we traveled east to Aberdeen and found several of the surprisingly many, some with a little difficulty as they are not well publicized and don't show up on most maps. This particular site is about 3000 years old and not fenced off like Stonehenge. I had read about these stone circles in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series so found them really interesting (tried the time warp thing but it didnt' work).
