Enjoyed a wonderful dinner here on a previous occasion a couple of years ago, and was delighted this time round to discover that the standardsat the Clachnaharry remain very high. The dining area doesn't look anything spectacular, but that's more than made up for by the skill that goes into the preparation and presentation of the food. My starter was a Scotch egg, beautifully runny inside, with very tasty sausagemeat and a smear of good strong mustard. Friends enjoyed some creamy mushroom soup and kind of "upmarket" sardines on toast. Mains were the belly of pork, described by a previous reviewer , and lamb. Great attention to detail, and every dish was absolutely delicious. No room for sweets and, with cars parked outside, we had to forego the wine list. However the coffee was good. Service was friendly, helpful and unobtrusive, with regular checks that we were ok. Would highly recommend.
