“Perfection for a Budget-Class Hotel”

This is pretty close to perfection for a budget hotel. Our room was a decent size, clean, comfortable, and also quiet, which is where a lot of hotels in this class fall short. Bathroom very modern and spotlessly clean, with everything in good working order. There is a spacious and light lounge area in which to enjoy breakfast. I had to look hard to find anything to criticise in this hotel, perhaps the bed wasnt the most comfortable I've ever slept in, although it was quite satisfactory. And if you plan to go into Inverness City centre, you'll need to drive or take a taxi, as it's not within walking distance. Overall though this hotel is excellent value for money, assuming of course that you book a bit in advance to get the discounted rate.

We recently returned from our SECOND stay at this hotel. The first time we went I was encouraged by the reviews on this website and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed our stay so much that we went back a few weeks later!

I can only echo previous reviews I'm afraid. The staff go out of their way for you, the hotel is modern, spotless and well situated.

You can take your breakfast to your room if you want, all drinks from the tea/coffee machine in the breakfast area are free to residents at all times (and you can take it to your room). If you fancy a takeaway, they will provide the menus and plates, cutlery etc. Fantastic!!

The Snow Goose opposite is an old fashioned country inn style place, excellent food in beautiful surroundings.

We will go back to this hotel.

We ( couple: young at 52!)stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights as we wanted to see the area on a short break. The hotel was excellent value for money and was a really comfortable place to stay in.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms and public areas were really spotless and attractive. For an express hotel you could not better it.We got a really cheap deal as we saw an advert in the paper (Daily Mail) offering really good rates for a number of hotels and were surprised to find it was of such a good standard. Continental breakfast was included. It is a bit away from the town centre and we got lost trying to find it so take a map and the phone number of the hotel and they will help you find it.

Four of us (two couples) stayed in the Holiday Inn for the Loch Ness Marathon 2007. On arrival, reception was busy but a member of staff noticed straight away and called us over to check us in.

The entire hotel was very clean and bright and comfortable, although no biscuits with the tea and coffee - and a girl needs her biscuits! The bathroom was small - good shower but no bath - the toilet could be shut off from the shower and sink if need be, which we thought was a nice touch. The walls were a little bit thin, you could hear doors banging up the corridor, but it didnt prevent us from having a good night's sleep.

Breakfast was included in the price and very basic - just cereals, toast, pastries and juice or hot drinks - my juice tasted a little bit watered down but everything else was fine. Picked up a free paper too.

The hotel is on an estate about 2 miles out of the city centre. We walked in, but would advise against it if you have kids with you because there is a huge, very fast roundabout to cross and not everyone uses their indicators properly!!!

Would definitely recommend this hotel if you're staying for 1 or 2 nights - not for long stays though. There's a good pub just across the road and next door to a big supermarket and other shops too, but for better facilities you would probably be better off in the centre of town.

Hands down the friendliest hotel staff we encountered in Scotland. The lovely ladies at the desk provided us with maps to downtown Inverness and directions to the Jacobite tours on the Loch.

The room was neat and clean, and since we were only staying for one night, it was not an issue that the room overlooked the roof of another wing.

The breakfast was convenient for someone who doesn't normally bother with breakfast.

We paid about 100 pounds for late August. I don't know if this is steep or not for this time of year; however, compared to hotels in Edinburgh it seemed like a bargain.
